Company Party planners like us have seen all kinds of corporate events and parties.
Just as celebrating a holiday, birthday, anniversary, or hosting a family gathering is important to the health and growth of your family; it is equally as important to the well being of your company.
In today’s world it is hard to find quality employees, hard working staff members, and people who you can trust to make a commitment to your business in the manner which you know it requires. When you finally do find the people you need – it is in your best interest to make them feel appreciated.
Maintaining employee relations and encouraging quality extracurricular interaction among staff can produce bonds which will ultimately build your business. Taking the time to pull people aside and saying a heartfelt “Thank You for a Job Well done” has immeasurable effects on company moral, employee loyalty, and the longevity of your company.
Hosting a company event or celebration is a great way to nurture the relationships which keep your company going. Giving back to those who have given their time and commitment to the company encourages people to continue the commitments they have made. It is also a great way to find new people to continue a companies growth.
When your employees talk about the good things your company does for them- it often creates a desire in other people to work for your company!
The bottom line is that creating memories which your staff will remember for years to come will instill a sense of pride which will translate into a commitment to your company which can be attained no other way. Creating memories of a happy workplace creates discussion, interaction, and makes your company a desirable place to work which in turn brings you higher quality workers.

Summer picnic game ideas are the perfect way to keep those little hands and feet busy this summer. Rather than just packing the usual fried chicken, potato salad, blanket, and Frisbee, why not spruce up your summer picnics with these fun game ideas.
We have all kinds of fun games and activities for summer picnics-
Water Games- Like the water slide, slip and slide- or even the classic dunk tank which has been a fun picnic standby for decades.
Bounce House- For the Kids, a bounce house is a great way to get some energy out and have a good time!
Entertainers- Picnics are a great place to offer everything from clowns, to magicians, balloon artists, caricature artists and more.
Carnival Games and Rides- There is no end to the selection of carnival offerings which will spruce up your summer picnic. A simple game of ring toss with carnival prizes can do a lot. Or a ferriw wheel can offer your guests a memorable ride!
Inflatable Games - From inflatable slides, to joust games, bungee runs, and even some of the hottest, newest interactive inflatables on the market! The inflatable industry is always growing, and these games are most often found out there at summer picnics
Summer Picnic Game Ideas can make the most typical picnic into a memorable event- for more information contact our office today!
Food
No summer picnic is complete without a basket full of food. Instead of throwing in the usual picnic staples, you can turn preparing and eating picnic foods into a game. Kida love finger foods. Your local library most likely has a huge selection of cookbooks for kid-friendly meals.
These recipes can include rose petal radishes, fruit on a stick, and animal shaped macaroni salad. The ever-popular dirt and worms sundae with crumbled chocolate cookies for dirt and gummy worms for toppings is always a hit. Let the little ones help prepare the food to add to the fun. They will be willing to try new foods when they have helped shape them into miniature animals and fun designs.
Another great way to turn food into a game is to prepare food that correlates with a special story about your family or a beloved fairy tale. You can also include a blindfold and some interesting foods for kids to feel while blindfolded. Another fun game is to let kids feed each other while blindfolded. Since everyone is eating outside, a quick shake of the blanket is all that is required for clean up.
Educational Activities
Keeping little minds engaged in educational activities over the summer can be a real challenge. Packing a picnic full of learning games is a terrific way to stimulate learning.
Even a simple picnic game like finding pictures in clouds can be an educational experience with a little planning. While kids look for pictures in the clouds, you can provide a mini lesson on weather, clouds, and the water cycle.
Bird watching is a natural picnic event. Bring along a bird identification book and a few pairs of binoculars and create a contest to see who can identify the most species of birds. For younger children, the game can be adapted to see who can find the highest number of blue, black, or red birds.
Bug collecting is favorite picnic activity for many children. Bring along a magnifying glass and a few books about insects to create a learning environment for your little explorers.
Incorporating math into the everyday lives of your little ones takes ingenuity.
One way to include math in your summer picnic is to place a price tag on each food item in the picnic basket. Bring along some play money and let little ones purchase foods they want to eat during the picnic. Older children can play cashier and count back change for each guest at the picnic.
Unique summer picnic game ideas keep your little ones engaged and happy during the lazy days of summer. Incorporating fun and educational activities into your summer picnic makes summer outings enjoyable for every member of the family.

Company picnic planning is not for the faint of heart. Coming up with innovative ideas to keep your coworkers and employees entertained year after year takes imagination and hard work. Planning a company picnic that your employees will look forward to instead of dread requires a few fresh ideas each year. Here are a few basic tips for planning a successful company picnic.
*Always vary the location of the company picnic and select a site other than your place of business.
* Consider incorporating your employee’s family members into the picnic planning process. Send out questionnaires or let employees vote on a set of options presented each year.
*Provide activities for children or provide childcare services so the adults can enjoy the picnic without the worries of childcare.
*Do not discuss workplace issues during the picnic. This is not the time for mini-seminars, inservices or pep talks. Allow your employees to relax and spend time bonding over recreational activities and food.
*Do not skimp on the food. If you are operating on a budget, food is not the place to cut costs. Poorly prepared food or worse yet, not enough food to feed everyone, will make your company picnic a flop.
* Vary the activities offered. Not everyone will enjoy reading beside a placid lake filled with gliding ducks. Nor will everyone enjoy riding an ATV through an obstacle course. Offering options at varying activity levels provides enjoyment for each employee. Inflatable games, clowns, and obstacle courses are popular choices for company picnic activities.
*If you are planning an outdoor picnic, provide an alternate arrangement in case of inclement weather.
*Complete as many activities as you can in advance. The day of the company picnic will be busy with activity and can become overwhelming and chaotic if careful planning in not used.
* Enlist some help. Do not try to do everything yourself. Delegate a few tasks to reliable employees.
* Promote your company picnic. Turn up the hype leading up to the date to build excitement and interest in the event. Pass out flyer sand talk up the event. Enlist the help of optimistic and energetic employees to help you promote the picnic.
* Offer special door prizes and incentives for those who attend. Select quality incentives such as tasty treats, clothing, gas cards, lottery tickets, or special office privileges such as lunch out with the boss or fresh flowers in the office for a week.
*If planning an indoor company picnic, provide live entertainment. Comedians, live bands, and theatrical performances, such as professional clowns, are all good options. Be sure to take into consideration the personal preferences of your employees. If 90% of the employees attending listen to country music, booking a heavy metal band is not a good idea.
* Have employees sign an RSVP attendance sheet to help plan for food and entertainment.
Successful company picnic planning is possible when you get employees involved. Provide great tasting food, fun activities and worthwhile incentives for attending.

The company picnic is a very important aspect to many companies and firms. It is a great chance for co-workers to get together and see what and whom each other are working for. Taking the person out of the normal job duties, and putting them in a place where they are encouraged to have fun, encouraged to relax, and encouraged to enjoy the company and great food provided.
Many corporations have reported great results in both sales, happy customers, and a better working environment immediately following a successful company picnic event.
Picnic Games and Activities
There are all kinds of great games and activities which are available for company picnics. These days inflatable games are proving to be huge successes at all kinds of activities, and for an even longer period of time- classic picnic games like the tug-o-war, potato sack races, and other fun activities have been huge successes at all kinds of Portland Company Picnic events.
Picnic Food - Barbecue time!
Old fashioned picnic fare has been hugely popular at all kinds of special events and parties throughout the Pacific Northwest. We are talking about hamburgers, hot dogs, and potato or macaroni salad. But lately in our region people have been ordering ribs, chicken, and more notably- salmon has found it’s way onto many corporate picnic menus in the past several years.
Locations, Rental and Event Services
Finding the right place for your picnic can not only make a big determination on the attendance, but a nice area to host the event will also determine how long people will stick around, what kinds of activities and amenities are available to the group, and what kinds of rental services are required to pull off the event you are planning.

Inflatable games are a fun and interesting alternative to tired, over-used fundraisers. Sponsoring an inflatable games night can fulfill your organization’s fundraising goals for the entire year if handled properly.
Tips for Planning an Inflatable Games Fundraiser
1. Select various activities suitable for different age ranges.
2. Include several inflatable game choices for toddlers and small children that will allow parents to participate as well. Bounce houses and giant slides are popular activities.
3. Include a competitive inflatable game, such as an obstacle course and man that game with an outgoing person who will encourage rivalries and repeat customers.
4. Offer helium balloons and refreshments for sale during the activities.
5. Advertise your inflatable games night well in advance. Pass out fliers, place an ad in the local newspaper. Contact local churches, day cares and pre-schools and offer a discount on tickets for mentioning where a customer heard about your event. This allows you to collect information about what marketing venues brought in the most business. This provides input for planning next year’s fundraiser.
6. Create a fun and festive environment by involving outgoing ticket takers and booth operators.
7. Consider hiring a live band to draw in passers-by and music lovers.
8. Provide plenty of organized parking for your event and notify local police of your plans.
9. Check with city hall to obtain any permits necessary for holding a carnival-type fundraiser.
10. Consider selecting a theme for your inflatable games fundraiser. You can select themes such as a day at the beach, popular Disney or cartoon characters, Fantasyland, outer space, alien invasion, the royal kingdom, or Mexican fiesta. The possibilities are endless!
11. Set out donation boxes with a written explanation of where the proceeds will go. This encourages observers to donate to your cause.
12. Post rules clearly. This provides unambiguous behavioral guidelines to help keep everyone safe.
13. Use egg timers or stopwatches to determine when an activity is over.
14. If you charge $1 per game or ride, you will need at least $20 in one-dollar bills for each game attendant to begin the night. You can avoid this problem by selling paper tickets at a central ticket booth if you prefer to have only one or two people handling the proceeds.
15. Be sure to thank each patron personally for supporting your cause.
Inflatable games make money because they are fun for people of all ages. Keep your fundraiser safe and legal by following local laws and guidelines for public events and prepare for an evening of profitable entertainment.
